Common Questions Before You Set Sail

Will you adjust me at the first visit?

That is always up to the discretion of the Doctor and would be determined after your examination.

Will there be ‘cracking’ and/or will it hurt?

Many times there may be a sound like a ‘crack’ during the adjustment which is the gas inside the joints moving, also known as a cavitation.

Adjustments generally do not hurt. Soreness may occur after an adjustment due to the vertebrae in the spine being out of place for a prolonged time, but that should not last long if it does occur.

How often should I be seen?

This will be based off of your unique health concerns, lifestyle, and goals. However you will most likely be needing more care at the beginning, which will be further discussed during the Report of Findings.

Is Chiropractic Safe?

Chiropractic is Very safe. It is one of the best ways to ensure proper spinal motion and it is also why a consultation and thorough history is taken to ensure safety for every patient prior to receiving care.
